Government Funding (OHIP Funding):

Central Park Physiotherapy Clinic is a Designated Community Physiotherapy Clinic in Oshawa, offering government-funded physiotherapy services. This funding supports eligible patients in accessing necessary rehabilitation at no personal cost.

· Eligibility for Government-Funded OHIP-Covered Physiotherapy Services

To qualify for government-funded physiotherapy services covered by OHIP, individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria. This includes individuals who are 65 years of age or older, those 19 years of age or younger, recipients of the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), or those receiving assistance through Ontario Works (OW). Additionally, individuals who have had a recent hospital stay or surgery within the past 12 months are also eligible. A valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP) is required, and at least one of these conditions must be met to access the service.

• WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board):

If you’ve suffered a work-related injury, you may qualify for WSIB-funded physiotherapy. To access care under WSIB, you’ll need a valid claim number. We work directly with WSIB to facilitate your treatment and recovery.

• Private Extended Health Insurance:

Many employers offer Employee Health Benefit Plans that include coverage for physiotherapy. If you’re enrolled in such a plan, your private insurance may reimburse all or part of your treatment costs.

• MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance):

If you’ve been injured in a car accident, you may be eligible for rehabilitation funded through your auto insurance. With proper documentation and insurer approval, we’ll help arrange the funding needed for your recovery.

• Industrial/Employer Contracts:

Some employers directly cover the cost of physiotherapy services for their employees. Check with your HR department or employer to see if you’re eligible for treatment under a workplace contract.

• Direct Online Billing:

To simplify your experience, we offer direct online billing for most insurance providers. This means less paperwork for you and faster claim processing whenever your plan allows.
